The Company with the registered name “Folli Follie Commercial Manufacturing and Technical Société Anonyme” and distinctive title “FF Group” (hereinafter the “Company”) in response to a request from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, which was notified to our Company on Friday, April 12, 2019, sent a respective reply on 15/4/2019 to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, the content of which the Company wishes to announce to the investing public.
The content of our Company's reply to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission is as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
We refer to the letter of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission with reference number 1391/12-04-2019, which requests us to inform the investing public by today about the audit of our Company's financial statements for the fiscal year ended 31.12.2017, performed by the company PwC.
Regarding the audit by PwC and the related restatement of the above mentioned financial statements, we would like to inform the Commission that PwC's control is still in progress, however, despite the very large amount of data requested (many of which are referring to the longer past) and despite the particular difficulties, due to the complexity of the Group, its structure and the retirement of its executives, our Company has so far delivered to PwC part of the requested data.
Additionally, due to the replacement of our Company's Audit Committee members, and of its Chairman in particular, and therefore of the need for their detailed information, a meeting with PwC has been scheduled for April 22nd, 2019. Furthermore, the planned meeting aimed at a comprehensive overview of the work progress and the update of the action plan.
Regarding the request of the above-mentioned letter from your Committee, our Company considers that an announcement with a specific date to the investing public at this stage, even today, would be extremely precarious and could, misinform the investing public, as it would be based on an estimation rather than a certainty.
With this letter and in view of the above, we request a deadline extension until 24/04/2019 for our Company to respond appropriately to your Commission's request, as described in the above-mentioned letter.
