Dolce&Gabbana: Make up Collection Summer in Italy 2016

The “carretto siciliano”, an icon of Italian folklore, is a reoccurring motif seen throughout the Dolce&Gabbana Summer 2016 collection. Fashion and make up come together to tell the story of medieval knights and dames, traditions and the love of beauty, captured in the carretto’s carvings.
The Summer in Italy Make Up Collection 2016 takes inspiration from the playful shades of Sicily’s citrus fruits and Mediterranean atmosphere: bright, cheerful and sunny colours for the Face, Lips, Eyes and Nails represent the essence of Dolce&Gabbana and bring the vivacious vibes of Italian summers to life.

FACE
The Sicilian Bronzer in Sunshine creates a warm glow and a natural tanned effect on the face. Exclusive to the Summer in Italy Collection 2016, this compact case is adorned with the patterns of the traditional Sicilian carretto - a hand-crafted cart decorated with ornate, colourful paintings. The Blush in Orange is a soft powder formula that creates bold contours, so the cheeks appear sun-kissed. The Shimmer Powder in Star Shine is a compact powder illuminator which should be dusted along the temples and high points of the cheekbones, for cheeks that sparkle in the soft evening light.

EYES
The Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Turquoise recalls the glistening Mediterranean Sea and brings the eyes to life, whilst the Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Lemon pays homage to the zesty lemon trees found in the courtyards across Italy. The Glam Liner in Cyclamen offers an infusion of bold colour, like the flowers found blossoming in summer.

LIPS
The Classic Cream Lipstick in new shades Orange and Cyclamen create vibrant lips. Delicately perfumed with Dolce&Gabbana’s signature petal rose scent, these bright and lively colours represent the passion of Italy’s beating heart.

NAILS
The Nail Lacquers in Turquoise, Lemon, Orange or Cyclamen complete this evocative Italian summer look with their vivid bursts of colour. Experiment and find your favourite shade to complement the eyes and lips.
