Gregoris has loved fashion since he was a child. He first discovered makeup by chance while helping a friend of his as she got ready for a special occasion. It was love at first sight: the young man stopped studying English at university and decided to attend makeup school. In 2006, he joined the MAC team with whom he began revealing the beauty of ordinary women. Very soon, his subtle, elegant and utterly contemporary style impressed Maybelline New York, which appointed him as its ambassador for Greece and Cyprus. All this at just 23 years of age!
Shoot after shoot, his name emerged in most prestigious magazines across the EMEA region, and in fashion shows, including New York. What’s his signature? Empathy. “When I set about designing a look, my first goal is to ensure that the woman I’m putting makeup on feels beautiful.” In just a few years, Gregoris became a VIP in Greece, his native country. But the makeup artist had bigger dreams. His sights were set on Paris! His future mentor and former artistic director of Shiseido, Tom Pecheux, was making waves in the French capital. After an initial meeting in New York, the young man became his first assistant in 2012. Working with Tom allowed Gregoris to experiment at a faster pace, meet the most sought-after photographers, work with the most talented designers, the most beautiful models, and even Hollywood stars!
In September 2015, Gregoris started his own venture. In becoming a spokesperson for Laboratoire Bioderma, he was the first ever makeup artist to represent a skincare brand. Partnerships with French and international magazines soon followed. VOGUE, L’OFFICIEL PARIS, MADAME FIGARO and GRAZIA all put their reputations in his hands. He also appeared at fashion shows, alongside Olivier Rousteing at Balmain or with the rising star Niuku. Working with the most beautiful women in the world, he has applied makeup to Cindy Crawford, Carla Bruni, Alexa Chung, Laetitia Casta, and many others. All of them praise his expert eye and absolute humility.
A specialist in beautiful skin, with an eye for detail that make the most significant differences, he knows better than anyone how to make his work coincide with the vision of a designer, the eye of a photographer, and the aura of a celebrity. Each new experience takes on its own unique style: “I like working with transparency. So even a bright colour or a smoky eye can seem to belong to the woman who wears them. Almost as if they were natural”. Today, Gregoris is Shiseido’s Europe, Africa and Middle East Makeup Ambassador. “Artistic inspiration and a search for harmony bring meaning and depth to Shiseido products. I am proud to represent the brand, not only for the undeniable quality of its makeup, but also for the values it conveys to the world”.
