The new collection is inspired by the sweeping, pristine arctic landscape of Laponia in northernmost Sweden. Molton Brown have sourced their pine bark extract from remote polar forests and harmonised it with the bracing freshness of crisp juniper berries, reminiscent of wintry escapades. Behind this blend and campaign lies a revival of long-forgotten Laponian fables, retold through the heartwarming adventures of young Albin. As he collects juniper berries for his grandpa’s Christmas pie, Albin stumbles across the most enchanting encounters in the forest.
“This seasonal fragrance opens with the scent of fresh, aromatic and spicy juniper berries, elemi and frankincense mingling with green, aromatic pine tree notes – so evocative of a quintessential festive forest,” describes master perfumer and scent creator Carla Chabert of Fragrances Essentielles.
“To achieve a cold feeling akin to a blanket of snow, a hint of ozonic notes was blended with violet leaf. This is counterbalanced by musk, cashmere wood, cedarwood and
oakmoss with a hint of vanilla bringing warmth and comfort, like the pleasure of setting foot in a cosy cabin after an exploration in a wintry wilderness.”
To celebrate this limited edition scent, Molton Brown, supplier of toiletries to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, are proudly displaying the Royal Arms in polished silver ink on the bottles. Furthermore, for the first time, their festive candle is exquisitely decorated with a juniper and pine illustration. As a seasonal finishing touch, the complete collection is adorned with delicate, jingling blue bells reflecting both the juniper berries and festive mood.
